Recommended Masking

The creation of a safe and healthy learning environment is a major priority of the Brandon Valley School District. Within our school facilities and while utilizing district transportation, the use of a cloth face covering is strongly recommended.

Before making a family decision, parents and guardians will want to consider information provided by public health officials. The use of a cloth face covering (or mask):

• is safe and does not decrease oxygen levels;
• may provide protection when social distancing is not feasible;
• is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatricians, especially for middle & high school age students;
• is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to reduce potential transmission of COVID-19.
