This full-time learning experience is for the families who enrolled their child(ren) in distance learning because they did not yet feel comfortable sending their middle and high school student(s) back to school. In this learning model, students work independently on Edgenuity courses and maintain contact with teachers using web-based class sessions, email, and phone calls

Edgenuity courses and curriculum are built using an instructional model grounded in research and are aligned to state standards, This online curriculum combines direct-instruction videos featuring expert, on-screen teachers with rigorous assignments, performance tasks, and assessments to engage students and ensure subject-area mastery.
BVMS and BVHS Distance Learning instructors teach a reduced class load in the traditional model between 7:45 AM and 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday and are scheduled to respond to questions from distance learning students a minimum of one class period per day. Office hours are posted below the teacher photos on this page.
Distance Learning students can contact their BVMS and BVHS teachers within the Edgenuity program or by email. Teacher email addresses are posted below the photos on this page.
Our 7-12 Distance Learning Lead Facilitator may be available to assist. Ms. Sara Gillis, our Gifted Education instructor, will be teaching part-time in the traditional model and will be available to assist distance learning students and parents during extended office hours. Her facilitator hours are posted below her photo on this page.
Students enrolled in the Distance Learning model will not be able to take part in school sponsored extracurricular clubs and activities.
