Jereme Skiles

Jereme graduated in 1992 from Brandon Valley High School.

As a sprinter on the track and field team, Jereme was a four-year letter winner.  He was a regular in the 100 and 400 meter dashes and the four spring relays.  In the relays, he helped his teams set school records and win several conference and state championships.  In the individual events, he set school records in the 100 (10.73), 200 (21.70) and 400 (49.36) meter dashes.  In his senior season, he was undefeated in the 400 and won the state title.  That year also saw him bring his team from behind and anchor the state championship 4 X 400 relay.  His second and third place finishes in the 200 and 100 meter dashes, respectively, allowed him to contribute 34 team points for the Lynx.

Jereme was also a major contributor on the 1989 and 1990 state championship football teams.

Jereme earned a track scholarship to South Dakota State University, but a broken leg curtailed his running career.

His favorite Lynx memories include state championships on the track and on the football field. He also includes winning the Howard Wood 200-meter Special Event and setting all three BVHS spring records.
