Lindsey graduated in 2000 from Brandon Valley High School. As a two sport standout, Lindsey earned a total of eight varsity letters - four each in volleyball and basketball. As a standout Outside Hitter on the volleyball team, Lindsey was feared by opponents for her tenacious attitude and powerful attacks. She led her team to a rare State Tournament appearance where the Lynx finished in third place and she was named to the All-Tournament Team. She set school records for attack percentage and kills, was named All Conference three times and earned All State twice. After her senior season, Lindsey was named to the South Dakota Volleyball Elite 6 Team. On the basketball court, Lindsey helped lead her team to two state tournament appearances after a several year drought. She helped her team to a third place finish her senior year. She established school records for points in a season and season scoring average during her career. She was honored twice as an All Tournament selection, three times as an All Conference selection, and was twice named to the All State Team. After her senior season, Lindsey was a finalist for the Miss Basketball Award for South Dakota. Lindsey was also selected to play in both the basketball and volleyball South Dakota All Star games after her senior year. Lindsey then played basketball at Moorhead State University for one year before transferring to the University of Sioux Falls where she played basketball and volleyball for the Cougars. While at USF, she accumulated six All Conference, five All Region, two All Tournament, and an All American award. Her favorite memories include helping her teams get to the State Tournament, representing Brandon Valley and the great coaches and teammates that she had along the way. |
