Steve Reiter
As a five-time letter winner on the Lynx golf team, Steve had an incredible career, leaving his mark on the BVHS, Big 8 Conference, and State A record books. At BVHS he was the top player for five years and was the Lynx MVP all five years. In the Big 8 Conference he led his team to conference titles in 1987-1989. During that time he was the conference individual runner-up once and champion twice. He twice was the Region runner-up. In 1989, Steve won the second individual State Golf Championship in Brandon Valley history and followed that up with a third place finish a year later.
Steve continued his golf career as a four-year letterman at the University of Nebraska. He also competed in Sioux Falls area and South Dakota Golf Association state tournaments where he won several championships and awards.
Steve's favorite memories of BVHS include making five consecutive birdies on the back nine of the final day of the State A tournament to earn the title. His memory of being in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowds feature is also a favorite.
