Dale Moss

Dale graduated in 2007 from Brandon Valley High School.

As a receiver on the football team, Dale was a two-year letter winner.  He helped lead the team to State Semi-Final appearances in his Junior and Senior seasons.  He was named an All-Conference performer after his junior season.  In his final year of high school football, he set two school records and was named All-Conference, All-State, and Argus Leader Elite 45.

On the basketball court, Dale led his team to a 23-2 record in his senior season.  He was twice an All-Conference and All-State selection, was named Player of the Year for several organizations – including Gatorade Player of the Year for South Dakota and was an Argus Leader First-Five selection.  The ’06-’07 team was ranked #1 most of the season and finished third at the state tournament.

On the track, he earned three varsity letters as a jumper, hurdler, and sprinter.  He was a part of individual and relay team conference titles and helped his team to a fourth place finish at the State Meet.

Dale went on to play four years of basketball at South Dakota State University, where he was a senior team captain and helped the Jackrabbits to their best season in their NCAA D-1 era.  He also played football for the Jackrabbits after his basketball career was complete and was second-team All-Conference and on the All-Newcomer MVFC team.

Dale went on to have several stints with NFL teams in training camps and on practice squads.

His favorite Lynx memories include the state tournament appearances in basketball and football because of the dedication of coaches and teammates and the overwhelming student and community support.
