Tom Jones

Tom graduated in 1950 from Brandon High School.  Tom was a three-sport standout who accumulated nine letters during his career on the football field, basketball court, and track.

As the Lynx quarterback, he led the team and was selected to the All-State team in his senior season.  The Lynx had a very successful run during his four years on the team, losing only one game.

On the basketball court, Tom helped lead the Lynx as a guard and was honored as All-District, All-Region, and Honorable Mention All-State in his senior season.

Tom was versatile on the track as a 110, 220, and 440 yard sprinter and contributed in the relay events.

After graduation he attended Augustana College where he lettered eight times on the football, basketball and baseball teams.  He then joined the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot for eleven years, serving three tours in Vietnam and being awarded the Silver Star, three Distinguished Flying Crosses and 25 Air Medals
