Amy Jensen

Amy graduated in 1998 from Brandon Valley High School.

As a sprinter on the track and field team, Amy was a five-time letter winner and helped the Lynx to a regional championship and a best ever at that time, state meet fourth place finish as a sophomore.  During her career, she set school records in the 100 and 200-meter dashes and the 4 X 100 and 4 X 200 meter relays.  Her sprint times ranked her second fastest ever to run in the South Dakota history at that time.  At her five Eastern South Dakota Conference meets, she won six gold medals, seven silver medals and one third place medal.  During her career, she won five gold medals, four silver medals and three bronze medals.  All six of her first place state finishes were also the best of any class at the State Meet, and earned her the overall gold medal award.  She was the Howard Wood Relays Open 100-meter dash winner three years in a row.

Amy also played volleyball at Brandon Valley High School and was offered a track scholarship at Sacramento State University in California after her senior year.
