Broc Halseth

Broc graduated in 1990 from Brandon Valley High School.

As a quarterback on the football team, Broc was a three-year letter winner and led the Lynx to two straight state football championships in 1988 and 1989.  He was named All-Conference, All-State and Elite 45 in both his junior and senior seasons and set numerous school records.  As a starter, his teams were 24-2 and the 1989 team was the SD Team of the Year for all sports.

On the basketball court, Broc led his team to a 24-3 record in his senior season, where he was an All-Conference and All-State selection.  The ’89-’90 team was ranked #1 all season and finished third at the state tournament.  He set two school  assists records for his ability to distribute the ball.

On the track, he helped establish a relay record and helped his teams to several state medals in the relays.

Broc went on to a stellar football career at USD, where he started all four years and set five different school records.

His favorite Lynx memory is winning the 1989 Class AA Football Championship in the first year after moving up from Class A the previous year.
