Heath Bills

Heath graduated in 1997 from Brandon Valley High School.

As a Linebacker and Tight End on the football team, Heath was a two-year letter winner and helped the Lynx to a state runner-up finish in 1995. He was named All-Conference, All-State, and Elite 45 in both his junior and senior seasons. The 1996 team was the first Eastern South Dakota Conference Championship for the Lynx. As a senior, along with being a team captain, he was chosen to play in the SD All-Star Game.

On the basketball court, Heath was a two-year starter and letter winner. As a senior, he was a part of the team that placed third at the AA Tournament.

As a thrower on the Lynx Track and Field team he lettered three times while accumulating many team points in both the Discus and Shot Put. At the State Meet he placed seventh in the Shot Put as junior. Improving on that as a senior, Heath placed third in the Shot Put and claimed seventh place in the Discus.

Heath played football at USD and also played a year of amateur football after his college career was completed.

His favorite Lynx memories include playing with and against the best athletes that South Dakota had to offer in all sports.
